The death of Sensei Hakuo Sagawa |

Our beloved teacher Sagawa Sensei, 9th Dan Iaido Hanshi, 8th Dan Kendo Kyoshi, died on the 16th of December, 2004 in Tokyo. Until the last moment all his efforts were aimed at promoting and teaching Iaido. An official delegation of the German Iaido Federation will take part in his funeral ceremony in Tokyo, on the 11th of January 2005. More information about his life is available here. Seitei Iai has been extended. The new katas are called Soguri ( like Somaguri from Ko Ryu but with small changes) and Nukiuchi. You can have a look at fotos and information here. But there is no claim to correctness. A german description of the Katas can be downloaded here. | |
